Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of MakeAICV (the “Service”), operated by Yahya Dalbah, trading as MakeAICV (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

MakeAICV is an online tool for building, editing, and exporting CVs/résumés and cover letters. It also offers optional AI features — AI-assisted writing, AI résumé import from a PDF, job tailoring, and cover-letter generation tailored to a job description — which are available on a paid plan (Pro or the 24-hour pass). As a one-time exception, each new account may receive a single complimentary AI résumé import. You may use parts of the Service as a guest (with data stored in your browser) or with a free or paid account.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to create an account. You may sign in using email and password or a third-party provider (e.g. Google).

3. Plans, billing & payments

The Service offers a free tier and optional paid plans (“Pro”, billed monthly or yearly) and a 7-day introductory pass. Current prices and inclusions are shown on our pricing page.

• Merchant of record. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd (“Paddle”), our authorised reseller. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s buyer terms, and Paddle is responsible for billing and any applicable taxes.
• Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel — the monthly plan renews monthly and the annual plan renews yearly.
• 7-day pass. The 7-day pass is an introductory offer: it charges a reduced price for the first 7 days and then automatically renews as a monthly Pro subscription unless you cancel before the 7-day period ends.
• Cancellation. You may cancel a subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current paid period. Cancelling stops future charges.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled per our refund policy.
• Price changes. We may change prices or plan features; changes apply to future billing periods and we will give reasonable notice where required.

4. AI features & your content

You retain ownership of the content you enter (your “Content”). You grant us a limited licence to process your Content to operate the Service. AI features (including AI résumé import from a PDF) are generally available on paid plans only — though a new account may receive one complimentary import; when you use them, the relevant Content — including any PDF you upload for import — is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (the “Claude” API), for processing. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete — you are responsible for reviewing and verifying everything before you rely on or submit your CV. We do not guarantee any job, interview, or application-tracking-system (ATS) outcome.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for unlawful, infringing, or fraudulent purposes;
• upload content you do not have the right to use, or that is false or misleading;
• abuse, overload, scrape, or attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls of the Service or its AI/PDF features;
• reverse engineer, resell, or copy the Service except as permitted by law.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, templates, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the templates and exported documents for your own CV/job-application purposes.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or suitable for any purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive will survive.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Palestine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.
